Privacy Policy
Last updated September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("SiteScale," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you use SiteScale Pro (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google provides.
- Company and business profile. Information you enter when setting up your workspace or in Settings, such as company name, business type, trades, project types, service area, company size, years in business, current estimating tools, role, logo, address, phone, and license number. Most of this is optional.
- Your content. Plans and drawings you upload, measurements, budgets, line items, specifications, prices, quotes, catalog entries, notes, files, and exports.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan, billing period, and the last four digits and brand of your card; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Usage and device information. Actions you take in the Service (for example, which tools, templates, and exports you use), timestamps, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and error logs.
- Communications. Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service, including syncing your work across devices.
- To personalize the Service, for example by tailoring catalogs, templates, and defaults to your trades, project types, and region.
- To process payments, manage trials and subscriptions, and send transactional messages such as receipts, confirmations, and password resets.
- To provide optional AI features. When you use them, the relevant content is sent to our AI model providers to generate a response. You can turn AI features off in Settings.
- To understand how the Service is used, fix problems, and build new features.
- To create aggregated and de-identified data as described in Section 3.
- To communicate with you about the Service, including product updates. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Aggregated and de-identified data
We combine information from many users to produce aggregated, de-identified data about the construction industry, such as typical material prices in a region, which specifications are commonly used, and estimating patterns. Before any such data is published or shared outside the Service, we remove information that identifies you, your company, your customers, or your projects, and we apply minimum-sample and geographic-coarsening rules so that individual users cannot reasonably be identified. We may use this aggregated data to provide industry insights within the Service and may share or sell it to third parties such as suppliers, manufacturers, lenders, and market analysts. Aggregated data is not personal information.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of your data: hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), authentication (Google), email delivery, and AI model providers for optional AI features.
- With people you choose. When you export a budget, share a file, or send a request to a subcontractor or supplier, the content you send goes to the recipients you select.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SiteScale, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage (cookies, local storage, and similar technologies) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences such as theme and panel layout, cache your work for speed, and understand how the Service performs. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes cached data; your work remains in your account.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If your subscription lapses, we retain your content for at least 90 days so you can resume. After you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, accounting, or security reasons. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and row-level permissions so that only your account can read your content. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account and company information in Settings at any time.
- You can export your budgets from the Service.
- You can turn AI features off in Settings.
- You can close your account by contacting us. We will delete your personal information as described above.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.
9. International users
The Service is operated from the United States and your information is stored and processed there. If you use the Service from another country, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you through the Service or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
